An epic queer leather film about the sexual revolution, as well as love, courage, and perseverence! We’ll enjoy it together at the Democracy Center in Harvard Square. Then we’ll head over the Daedalus next door for drinks. For more information about Tom of Finland’s influence and work, check out this article!

The Democracy Center, 45 Mount Auburn Street in Harvard Square, is a five-minute walk from the Harvard Square Red Line stop. There is street parking, and last time we checked, reasonably priced parking at University Place Garage, 45 University Road. The Democracy Center is in the process of becoming accessible. There is now a ramp at the DeWolfe Street side entrance; Q+K will have someone available to hold the door open for wheelchairs. There is no accessible bathroom in the venue; the restaurant next door Daedalus (where we’ll be heading for drinks) will let us use its accessible bathroom during the main part of the event..
We’re not charging admission to this wonderful educational film. HOWEVER, for those who can, we would much appreciate a donation of $12 to help us pay the costs of renting the venue and licensing the rights to the film. More if you can, less if you can’t.
What to Wear
Queer + Kinky is a Special Interest Group of the New England Leather Alliance. Our events are open to people of any gender who self-identify as queer, and to allies of the queer community.
We have a few simple guidelines at our events:
- Please don’t make any assumptions about anyone, including their gender, sexual orientation or BDSM role. If you’re not sure, please ask, for example, ‘What pronouns do you use?’
- Please ask before touching anyone, even if the touch isn’t sexual.
